Writing your ideas in a blog provide more opportunities than just a monthly check from ad programs. You wouldn’t believe how many professional blog publisher’s are out there are, and don’t make a cent. Yet they’ve done great things and made quite a bit of money.

Maybe owning a blog alone won’t make you rich. Maybe owning 10 or 20 blogs won’t make you rich.

However, take a look a the experienced marketers and business professionals who have their own blogs? What’s the purpose of their blog? To get their voice out, to promote their brand and to provide your audience with something different.

When I first started this blog, I kept wondering what it could provide me with besides improved writing skills. Then I started to think about how marketing my business, future software products and web sites would tie in with the blog articles I write. These articles help me reach an audience. It may even provide other opportunities, who knows?

Professionals will agree that a blog CAN greatly help your brand and allow you to promote new ideas. So don’t blog for money alone, blog for opportunities–the real gems.

and take a small risk for a potentially huge gain. Even if everyone else is completely blind to what that gain may be.

What I love the most about business is that, each successful business plan is a path in a different direction. If you own a company you and your team have control over your own success. You can spot what you want and decide to go after it. Your business is where your creativity is at it’s best. You know that the extra effort you put into your work doesn’t just mean a raise or bonus or a pat on the head. Contributing to your own success feeling a million times better than working for someone who only knows you by your name tag or pay stub.

In my opinion, to own a business, you need a passion. Having the urge to be rich isn’t enough. You need to be eager to learn, to improve your character, to reach goals, to do what you love, be with the people you want to be with—then you can become rich. Searching for wisdom and knowledge instead of money will lead to better things. I often find that money follows the people who work at what they love—not at a job that pays more.

You may never become a Bill Gates or Donald Trump, that’s not important anyways. If you stay focused some day you’ll have your own achievements. That’s what makes the uncharted territory of your own life interesting.
