Hello Word!

Bleeding Rose film

The Tale of Despereaux the movie
Last week I launched the first stable version of PutFeed to the public. I have to admit that the choice of design was one of my best decisions. The overall development so far has been super fun! And we have a small community underway!

PutFeed is meant

to cut down on the amount of content that gets shoved through the pipes. Important information is put first. Lesser important information is left in a different corner for you to look through later.
PutFeed!
So how did I get the name PutFeed? I chose the name PutFeed one morning when I had brainstormed a bunch of cool names that I could use for the mini-blogging prototype I had just started. At the time I didn’t have a real goal for the project. But I knew I wanted this project to be about “feeds” like aggregated RSS, and the application allows for “putting” content into your feed. Thus the name PutFeed.

If you want to stay updated subscribe to this blog or stay in touch with me:) You can help me build the community by becoming a part of it and participating. We’re here to talk, not waive from far off! So please join us and give me a shout when you’re there:)snow angels divx online

Screaming What You Are—Is It Really Necessary?

I was reading last night about Insider Secrets to 15 Second Marketing Landspeed movie full

Two Mules for Sister Sara full

by Charlie Cook The Baker . I didn’t actually read the book. However this article by Steve Pavlina, 15 Second Marketing

Gone in Sixty Seconds video

gave me some new insight on how we market ourselves and our businesses to other people. Lots of people have heard of the Elevator pitch, a quick way to spread the word about your company to another person within the few seconds spent in an elevator(or rounded to 15 seconds). The concept can be applied anywhere to create interest and start conversations with potential clients and customers. In this article Steve mainly talked about how people are too focused on titles.

Anyone can slap on a label. But labels aren’t too effective when it comes to making money or business growth. It’s what you actually do that’s important.

For example if you say, “Hi I’m Bob, I’m an Entrepreneur” it completely drains the conversation. So what if you’re an entreprenuer? But lets say you changed it around abit and said, “Hi I’m Bob, I work with mid size companies to find new ways to market to people.” This makes much more sense and it will help spread the word and maybe even increase the amount of referrals you have to your company. This should also help with word-of-mouth. For example if Bob uses the first technique, people are going to continue to pass the word along that he’s an “Entrepreneur”. That’s certainly not going to generate a whole lot fo interest. However if people pass around the word that “Bob finds marketing strategies for mid-size companies” there’s bound to be someone who owns a mid size company that this word finally gets around to. Maybe even a few. The little seed you plant through the 15 second introduction can make a big difference.

How you tell people what you do can be a Growth Factor for your business!

Last night I relized that I was going about this all wrong. I do a few things. I develop web sites and web applications for clients. I develop my own applications both on and off the web. I write a blog. I’m interested in technology. I look for new ideas on how to improve technology and make it work for my business! If you ask me what I am, I’m a Entreprenuer and tech developer. If you ask me what I do, I develop computer technology for people to use in their every day lives(see my bio above). The second one is much more interesting and actually gets across what I do. For the first time I had to think between what I do and what I am.

The problem was, I was showing the tip of the iceberg instead of describing the rest…

If you haven’t done this already. Stop. Think to your self for a second. Are you going by some label you’ve stuck yourself with or are you going by what you do? Labels are still important. If you’re a CEO, you’ve earned that title. If you have a masters degree, you’ve also earned a title. However lots of “CEOs” don’t know more than a few things about running a company. And lots of people with collage education are book smart and experience dumb.

Listen to your actions and your words. Do they benefit your company or do they bore people to teers. Chances are that your company can capture interest of almost any audience, but with the right words. If you want to learn more about this you can read Steve Pavlina’s post 15 Second Marketing

which covers the topic much better.Down to You psp

Every great invention is incomplete without misconceptions…

.!.

Within the past 100 years there’s been a ton of change. Every new stage of change came with it’s critics. The automobile, the computer, the Internet. Not every idea made it to the top. But some that never made it all the way, helped innovation to take place in the future. Obviously, lots of this change has transformed the way we live.

Lets face it, people are just stuck in their ways.

Not too many people are comfortable with awkward change. They don’t mind comfortable change. But when it comes to something they don’t understand, it’s different.

If you want change, move out of your comfort zone. You may get pecked at—but when you do you know you’re getting somewhere, or at least you’re growing. Don’t hinder your own growth when others reject your ideas.

“But by believing in our own success, we are setting ourselves up for failure. Does that mean that I will be able to fly just by thinking that I can? Of course not. It is only by hard work, by finding creative solutions, by persistence even with repeated failures, that we will be able to fly. Ask the Wright brothers.

Sure, you say, this stuff is obvious. But if it’s so obvious, are you applying it to your daily life? Have you taken the time to define your dreams, and the steps that it will take to get there? Have you asked yourself if you believe in yourself, and if you believe you can achieve those dreams? And what steps are you taking today — not tomorrow or next year — to make those dreams a reality.

Problems are actually idea starters!

.!.

Businesses that solve problems and make life better always have the best relationship with consumers. Identifying flaws in the system can let you grab a hold of brand new business ideas. With a lot of hard work these ideas, can turn into cash. Businesses that offer answers to every day problems are the ones that make a ton of profit. So one of the best ways to come up with ideas is to use what Jessicah Mah calls the idea life-cycle

The idea life-cycle is finding problems and then coming up with ideas to solve them.

contender the download

Just look at problems as idea-potentials. And take a look around, we have handful of things to be picky about every day of our lives. Every aspect of life has at least a few things with the need for improvement. If you take a good look at a lot of successful businesses, they’re about making life easier, providing better service, improving your health etc etc. And the companies that cause problems give us chance to find answers and provide better.

Why are trends like “going green” so popular? Because people are afraid that if they don’t use hemp bags instead of plastic, we’re all going to fry and it’s going to be our fault. This is why every company left and right are jumping on board and “going green.” Because it offers a way for everyone to participate in saving the environment and it’s a great way to promote a company.

The reason why aspiring entrepreneurs have difficulties come up with ideas is because they look in the wrong places.
In Jessicah Mah’s

post, “If only I had a good idea for a business… then I’d be rich!” download speed racer she says:

You’re born with the ability to see the world in an abstract way, and can immediately come up with ideas on how to rid the world of its problems. You look at the world around you, and ideas are popping out as fast as babies from teenage girls. In other words, you’re lucky.

You don’t need to search for ideas. They’re all around, peering you in the face.
