The *unfollow* factors!
*unfollow* factor #1 — Be a self-proclaimed “Guru”
I NEVER follow anyone who calls them selves a Guru. This is complete BS and screams SPAMMER! So IMO, the title Guru does not equal authenticity, and I refuse to follow anyone who uses this type of front to promote themselves.
*unfollow* factor #2 — Only 20% of your followers follow you back
This has always been an instant turn off for me. If you’re following 1000+ people…why are only a few of them following you back? Anyone who visits your profile will get the idea that you’re following everyone you can find just to receive follows. In other words, you’re not interested in building relationships, just numbers. And so there’s really no real reason for me to want to follow you!
It doesn’t take a whole lot of effort to build numbers. Just make sure you don’t give people a bad first impression. It’s easy to get to 1000 at first, it’s hard to regain people’s respect and at the same time weed out and *unfollow* everyone.
I Am David film *unfollow* factor #3 — Untra-Crappy Profile Design!
If you take the time to crack open Photoshop(plus crack open your bank account to pay for it) please make it looks good! I’ve run into so many users who’s backgrounds cause you to have a gag reflex.:D There’s such a contrast between a good design and a plain crappy one.
The X Files download *unfollow* factor #4 — You don’t talk to/follow anyone!
Social media is changing the way we interact with people. It’s a fun and exciting way to share ideas, information and pass around the word about our business. The interaction part is important. When I look through a stream that doesn’t have any replies or any signs of interaction, I know not to follow. Following someone who doesn’t talk to you kind of defeats the point.
Value is what I’m in it for!
I’m interested in building value and finding people who will contribute to that value and doing something for them in return. I’ve met a lot of new people on Twitter, both around the world and around where I live. I find it easy to use and I think it’s a great networking tool to maintain a relationship with my readers and people who are involved in my projects. I was skeptic about mini-blogging when I first started using it. But now it’s one of my favorite social tools. When I first started using Twitter I made a few mistakes, a few that I mentioned. Once I learned the mistakes I was making I changed them immediately. Making quick mistakes, getting quick feedback and then making quick improvements made all the difference.

Seriously I think twitter should be a two way stream and constant exchange of Ideas. As a habit, every Friday I go to, I go to twitter karma and see who am I following vs, who’s following me
just to make balance.
Yeah, I use Twitter carma now and than. It’s nice to know which connections have a mutual contribution.
lolz, this is an interesting post Clinton
I like this part the most “Value is what I’m in it for!” *Winks* very true
