I love it and I think it’s a great language. Of course it has it’s soft spots, like naming convention for functions(like n2br(), strtr(), str_replace, etc.).

Though with the growing popularity of Python and Ruby, what’s going to happen to PHP? Ruby, a language built for convenience and Python, a powerful language built for speed both run over PHP in those two aspects. Is there a reason to stick with PHP? And why not switch to something more efficient? PHP scripts sometimes take longer to write and are also harder to debug. Ruby ranks as one of the highest in terms of maintenance and ease of speed. Python is portable, powerful and fast!

PHP’s strong points are it’s documentation, afford-ability, support and popularity

witches the movie download

Killer Bean Forever divx

. A person with a business plan can rustle up PHP free-lancers pretty fast. PHP is that language that has almost always had support from hosting companies, and that being said, has always been more available to beginners. PHP also gets a rap for allowing inexperienced developers to create unmaintainable, messy code. Not as a Stranger video

Pigs divx

This happens too many times, where code gets passed on and all you can do shake your head… At the same time experienced coders have developed some of the net’s most popular web applications.

The real test for PHP will come when they finally release PHP6, which has been anticipated for four or more years. By eliminating tons of crap, adding name spaces, better speed performance and more efficiency PHP6 will show what PHP is actually capable of. This will truly be PHP’s time to shine.

When your developing a certain functionality or feature for a PHP program you have to understand at which levels your code will run. PHP can be very runny and lets your do too much in terms of poor coding practice. So you need to discipline yourself, like in any programming lanuage. Unless you test everything the chance of bugs occurring in your code rises. It all comes down to understanding your code and knowing exactly what it’s doing.

My three tips for testing PHP:

Turn on all errors, warning and notice flags.

Play around with your code, find the weak spots, code more and then test it again.

Know the factors of stress brought onto your code in different situations.

download Universal Soldier

Ocean Men: Extreme Dive move

Properly testing your code will save you hours, days or even weeks of hair pulling and headaches. Do it right the first time and you wont have to cut through a tone of messy wires and get electrocuted later on.

One of the reason I did this is because fetching data from the database and dumping it into a object gives you much more flexibility than using regular arrays.

I remembered using data objects on a project I was working on a few months ago. The idea was a little to confusing for me at the time. Now I see that there’s more of an advantage to it than arrays could ever offer. If you run large object orientated web apps you might want to look into it…

How you do it—same as fetching a row into an array, just a different function:

<?php

// Here is an example in PostgreSQL(Can also be used in MySQL, Oracle, DB2 or what have you)
$resource = pg_query("SELECT id, name, active FROM users WHERE id = {$id} LIMIT 1");
// pg_fetch_object(sql_resource, [int row, str Class Name]);
$user = pg_fetch_object($resource, NULL, "MyClass");
// Echo some stuff
echo "Id Number: {$user->id}, User Name: {$this->username}";
?>

Pretty simple.

Extraordinary Rendition movie full

buy La planète sauvage

What I like best is that it just creates an object on the fly using the stdClass(Default Standard PHP Class) and adds the database values to it. If you want to add more functionality to it you can create your own classes(it’s very straight forward).

By using this we accomplish two things:

We have more control over our data when it’s pulled from the database.

We’ve become more Object Orientated, therefor adding more flexibility. We also have the option to use any of PHP’s OO features such as class inheritance

, the ability to use control patterns etc.

Anastasia rip
You can learn more about Postgres and PHP data objects pg_fetch_object() HERE!

The Forgotten video

  or MySQL’s mysql_fetch_object() HERE!

Born trailer

I’ve made lots of mistakes–and I’ve learned a lot from each one! I’ve gotten rid of old practices and adopted new and better ones.

There are a few things you should make sure of before you start large projects in PHP. Here’s my little list:)

Easy Rider psp

It’s best to start off with a stable framework that does almost everything you need right a way. — I learned this the hard way, trying to build a site engine and a social network at the same time:D It’s not a whole lot of fun(unless you have LOTS of time on your hands). You can make your own framework or you can download lots of excellent ones for free!

Plan Plan Plan and Set Goals! Make sure you plan ahead so you have an idea of what needs to be done and how much work it’s going to take. It’s not enough to have it swimming around in your head. A wise man once said, “Those who fail to plan, plan to fail.”-It’s a good thing to keep in the back of your mind.

Use the latest versions of stable software.

I Want Someone to Eat Cheese With ipod

  Original Sin trailer

Groundhog Day divx

Vanity Fair release Just Add Water movie

Irma la Douce move

Using PHP 4 is just going to limit your project. It’s unacceptable to use anything other than the latest version .

Do It Right The First Time! Doing it right the first time will decrease the chance of stupid bugs later on in the project when you need to focus on other things.

Decide on the final design/layout after the code is stable. No need fooling around with that stuff while coding. Design after functionality. But of course there needs to be some design, but don’t fully complete the layout until the application is running really well.

Test Your Code! This can be WAY underdone, and very seldom is it ever overdone! Unless you test every aspect of your code, your application is an accident waiting to happen . So be happy when you find a bug in your code, you saved users from hating you.:) Keep coding an art!

Choose the Right Database — Finding the right database for your project is important. Is your database widely supported? Can you export from your database? How easy is it to use with your project? The most popular databases are MySQL

The Island download

and PostgreSQL, there are other ones that you can look into–I like to stick to PostgreSQL(A.K.A Postgres, pgsql or psql)

Get Beta Testers, Get Feedback! People’s opinions are important. Make sure you listen to the majority! Just don’t go and change a whole tone of code because of one comment one person makes.

The Right Tools…Try to find the right tools for your project. It’s best to have a local server and an advanced text editor. Ohh, and your command line saves your life:D

Last but not least: Stay Focused, Have Fun, Learn from Your mistakes.

Bad Moon divx

Long, hard projects can be disheartening at times. Staying focused and not giving up is always somewhat of a challenge. The key is to stay organized and have fun. Focus on what you want to accomplish

The Reader dvdrip

instead of how much time or work it’s going to take. In the end you’ll be “Better, faster, stronger” – Kanye West

Hope this helps!Full Frontal movie download

Even well known sites that have been around for years. Adding a few keywords to the URI/URL is common SEO knowledge. However, lots of developers only do this in blogs and fail to do it in other applications.

Referencing the a server side resource by adding it’s id to the URI(e.g. ?user_id=4347) is a safe and simple method. The only problem is that you don’t get the full benefit of search engines. The search engine will look at your URI and just see it as a bunch of gibberish. A number(id=873) means absolutely nothing the crawler and will be ignored.

Yeah I know what your saying...it doesn’t really help a whole lot

. The truth is that it DOES HELP Beowulf Live Nude Girls film ! So little effort is involved that it’s worth a try.

This is what I do for my content based sites:

Instead of a URI like this(Dirty URI)

Easy Rider rip Fear House movie download

download That Beautiful Somewhere

The River King movie

I would put some SE readable keywords in there(Nice URI):

  www.yoursite.com/people/clintonskakun

The Land That Time Forgot download

Bad Moon hd

Inherit the Wind hd
Reefer Madness: The Movie Musical move

Overall it’s just better looking and it gives the search engine a reason to rank you higher!

Why is this? Laziness, lack of time or being oblivious that there is even such a thing as a newer version?

Why is it important to take notice and say? “OK, the time has come to upgrade from y2k to now-because my children have grown up and we still have memories of installing PHP 4 in kinder garden”…

It’s important to understand that upgrading PHP is vital for support of newer and more efficient web applications. Thats just a fact, just like crazy amount of Internet Explorer 6 users! I’m amazed at the amount of people who still use this ancient crap. Freakin PHP 6 is almost out! WAKE THE FRIGGIN HELL UP!!!

The Talk of the Town dvdrip

I’ve been in situations where I’ve had to recode whole applications and turn back the time so they would work in PHP 4. I use PHP 5 because it’s just common sense. It’s not only maddening for me but it’s costing my client extra money. So yeah! Not fun for a few of us.

Some real reasons WHY Wrestling move
Flying Virus download

you should upgrade to PHP 5:

PHP 4 is LIMITED , old and broken down!

Anyone who uses PHP 4 is either very new at PHP or is the minority. FORTUNATELY the minority is backwards compatible!

Most developers who use PHP use PHP 5’s features without even knowing it.

Web developers hate it when they have to down grade their code.

PHP 4 applications give PHP a bad name because they smell and run like crap.

70% of PHP web applications are coded in PHP 5.

This is directed towards web hosts or developers that still use PHP 4. The excuses “PHP 4 is good enough” and “PHP 4 is still OK” are really lame when you think of how ridiculous it is to continue supporting something so outdated.

If your using PHP 4 and can update to 5 – DO IT! The latest stable version as of this month is PHP 5.2.6. You can obtain it here Ilsa, She Wolf of the SS movies
Johnny Mad Dog video

Killa Season movie

. If your coding for PHP 4 because PHP 5 sounds too…extreme(in whatever way), than get with the times&mdeash;your 4 years behind!

If your a developer, like me, who’s sick and tired of PHP 4, like me:), than click here to GO PHP 5 The Pink Panther divx

buy Deathline

(Help shun PHP 4 and promote PHP 5). The support is getting better but it’s still not where it should be. It’s unacceptable, for a web host, to not support a well used language that has been around for years. Now don’t tell me that when PHP 6 comes out, PHP 4 supporters aren’t going to burn in a special part of hell.

Anyways, hope this wakes a few people up! PHP 5 is too awesome to waste…

I find that the lack of PHP’s strictness hurts the quality and development speed of lots of great apps. The “harmless errors” myth is what hinders developers from finding the root cause of a serious problem. A harmless error + another harmless error can cause a major error. ALL errors are harmful!

Here are some tips on how to make life easier when your using PHP:

Organize
The Cell hd

your code. This means giving each class, no matter how small or how large, a separate file. Keeping file names, class names, variables and function names consistent and easy to find.

Turn on PHP Notices and Warnings Larry the Cable Guy: Health Inspector the movie

Knowing movie download

Always Outnumbered psp

The Moon and the Stars movie

     – This helps a whole lot. Identifying the root cause of a bug relies on the notices and warnings telling you whats wrong. Just because a fatal error isn’t being thrown doesn’t mean you should over look it.

Simplify

The Secret Lives of Second Wives ipod

Ilsa, She Wolf of the SS the movie

A Broken Life rip

Keeping Up with the Steins rip

This Gun for Hire dvd

  – It’s an art in it’s self. If you can keep your code simple you’ve made a big difference already.

Learn The Right Methods. Wrestling on dvd

A butter knife is for buttering and a sword is for slaughtering. The right tool for the job is the one that was built for the job.

Consult the Documentation – If you go to PHP.net theres lots of detailed information on many, if not all, of the PHP functions and libraries. It’s important to stay informed on changes made to new versions.

These are a few things that I do regularily to speed up PHP development as much as possible. If you have some to share please feel free to post them:)

Hopefully you found this helpful!

Now days a developer can find almost any kind of job-from setting up a pre-built PHP application to being hired to build one from ground up.

The internet has enabled web developers from every part of the world, who would other wise be out of work, to rake it in on their expertise. GetAFreeLancer.com is a living example. Thats right, you don’t need to work for big company to make money in web development.

So, why should you learn about web development or web design? Theres a few reasons:

Businesses(who specialize in other fields) always need someone who can set up a script or design a site.

Most people just don’t have the time or patience to learn how to code a server side script.

Everyone wants a web site now days and their willing to pay through the ass to have one. Whether it’s a WordPress blog or a vBulletin forum, if they hire to to set it up, its all money in your pocket.

You can live any where in the world, as long as you have a computer and internet, and still make a load of money.

Web Development is the going thing these days, if you don’t hit it now you might miss it in the future.

You can build sites for your self.

You can share your knowledge in a blog and make money from it.

Once you know it you can take your knowledge further, sky’s the limit!

buy Tick Tock Lullaby

The Hunt for Red October download

These are a few good reasons. However, you have to look at the down side.

Web Design/Development isn’t for eveyone!

It takes time and patience, something that you may not be willing to sacrifice.

It might be a steep learning curve to what your used to.

Unless you have the drive and the motivation you’ll be fighting an up hill battle.

Depending on what your learning it may take a bit of pocket cash to get started.

buy Babes on Broadway

Corpses movie download

Lady in the Water movie download
Love N’ Dancing download If…. psp

White Heat dvd

Dragonquest

So what do you do if you want to learn web development? Start asking around, know what your getting into, look for tutorials and lessons in books and on the internet, keep learning(no one knows everything) and make sure you have the right tools.

Web development branches out to many other things. E.G. If you learn PHP, chances are your going to learn MySQL. In the end you may end up getting into more than you bargined for. Just learn the basics(PHP, XHtml, Xml, Css, Some Graphics, Database-MySQL).

Hope this helps:)The Moon and the Stars rip 3:10 to Yuma hd

But do you really need all of these features? So is there a reason why you should build your own framework?

First of all
Hell Comes to Frogtown trailer

, how big is your project? How many projects do you work on? How much functionally are you looking for?

Second of all Boundin’ movie , do you have enough time and knowledge to build your own framework?

The first step is listing a few features that you need:

Basic XHTML document generation with the ability to add HTML titles, CSS, JavaScript, Icons etc.

A global template(or multiple templates) that can changed from page to page or stay static throughout the whole site.

Simple content placement, pages(determined by the URI)-would be loaded into the template.

Quick database access.

Data Sensitization.

The Doctor trailer

…and go from there.

I like using OOP(Object Orientated Programming) for my framework because it makes things so much easier.

It’s only as complicated as you make it. Just integrate the features that you need, keep it secure and keep tweaking it until it meets up to your personal standards.

The things that you should look for in any framework before it’s used in public:

Smother full movie

Groundhog Day

  Seed dvd

The Scoundrel’s Wife rip

Freedom and flexibility

Quality and performance

Security

Memento ipod

The ultimate goal for your framework should be to save time as well as to give yourself a little extra freedom. All you need to do is write up a plan and start coding:)
